Australia’s largest men’s lifestyle publication marked its 10-year anniversary with a star-studded event that featured immersive brand activations and surprise moments.
The run sheet
Sydney-based men’s lifestyle media company, Man of Many, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary at Watersedge at Campbell’s Stores.
To mark the milestone, some 250 guests gathered at the venue, including high-profile personalities such as Tim Robards, Lincoln Younes and Andrew Redmayne. Man of Many engaged Headbox Australia as the event management company to deliver the event and partnered with sponsors including Lamborghini, Ducati, Benriach, Penfolds and Seiko to create a truly memorable experience that enticed guests on a journey of discovery throughout the venue.
Several spaces across the multi-level venue were brought to life through a series of immersive brand activations. These included experiences such as a Benriach whisky-tasting lounge, a Penfold’s champagne and oyster station, a Seiko car racing simulator with a competition to win a limited edition Seiko SRPJ95 watch, and outdoor displays of Lamborghini and Ducati vehicles that greeted guests upon arrival.
As well as live ice sculptures, 3D projection mapping and a custom-built photo booth, harpist Jake Meadows serenaded guests at the venue’s entrance while renowned DJ and saxophonist Sam Weiss kept guests busy on the dancefloor.
The ‘WOW’ moments
The Venues Collection team assisted HeadBox in gaining council approval to bring a Lamborghini supercar and Ducati bike into Circular Quay. Live entertainment and Man of Many branding projected onto the building’s façade, coupled with the stunning backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, created a truly unique arrival experience before guests headed upstairs to the main event.
The dramatic reveal of Seiko’s branded activation also proved a highlight as competition for the limited edition timepiece raged and ice-sculpting maestro Kenji Ogawa created two awe-inspiring sculptures.

The result
“As we knew this event would have a lot of activations, we wanted to make it a sensory overload. We worked closely with The Venues Collection team to make the most of the venue’s various spaces; unveiling different areas and experiential elements throughout the evening,” said Claire Stevens, Senior Event Manager at HeadBox Australia.
“There were some great ‘surprise and delight’ moments supported by food stations and cocktails across these different spaces,” she added.
As a heritage-listed venue, Stevens said Watersedge at Campbell’s Stores came with a unique set of challenges, however “the TVC team were great at working with us to find solutions and create the wow factor we wanted to achieve”.
“I love the exposed brick and beams within the venue, it worked perfectly for the Man of Many brand and style,” Stevens said. “The layout of the venue also worked perfectly for our various activations and surprise moments. There were lots of opportunities for our guests to explore and discover the sensory overload.”
