The Vibes Awards by The Venues Collection

The Vibes Awards 2023, held on Wednesday, 06 September, was a success!

Over 200 business event professionals gathered at Watersedge at Campbell’s Stores to celebrate hardworking industry colleagues.

Knowing the attendees were busy, The Venues Collection introduced a “deconstructed” awards format. Still, they wanted depth in content and experience if they were to show up at the party.

THE THREE ZONES – A “DECONSTRUCTED” AWARDS EXPERIENCE

The Networking Zone – The party started with a networking zone on arrival where guests tasted 20 different types of delectable canapes. Event partner Beam Suntory created a Roku Gin cocktail activation, swiftly becoming a highlight for gin lovers.

The venue brought in one of Sydney’s largest 360 selfie booths to amp up the celebratory spirit and provided instant social feeds. A talented soloist serenaded the crowd with soothing jazz tunes as industry friends and colleagues caught up on lost times.

The Vibes Zone – 45 minutes into the party, DJ Tom and his saxophone player ushered the attendees into the key element of the evening that everyone was awaiting – the awards.

The attendees were greeted by a plethora of food stations – a three-tier ice sculpture of Australian fresh seafood and a gigantic grazing station. Head Chef Saif Islam charmed the crowd, serving Casarecce cacio e pepe style out of a parmesan wheel, whilst Chef Yul Kim was pulling the crowd with a Bay Nine Omakase counter showcase.

The awards kicked off with palpable energy as the emcee announced the finalists and the winners. The excitement reached a crescendo as Aeron Dundas of Synergy Effect was awarded Top Viber of 2023.

Just as the crowd thought the party was over, The Venues Collection unveiled its latest product – Watersedge Immersive Dining Studio. Once again, the venue team ushered their guests into an exceptional dessert showcase.

The Chill Zone – presented by partner SixthSense Experiences, the pièce de resistance is a multisensory dessert experience complete with curated visuals and sound. Amongst the gasps, attendees were whipping out their mobiles to capture the most Instagrammable moments of the evening.

Some said after all the excitement from the awards, the immersive visual projections across the walls and tables in the studio provided the much-needed self-reflection moments. Sydney-based Latina DJ La Foxy Fuzz chilled the vibe further with her signature tunes an hour before fond farewells.

One thing we know for sure is that event professionals are real people worth celebrating.
